Networking & Workshop

Networking & Workshop Event Considered Great Success

Accountancy Matters held their first Networking & Workshop Event at Hadley Wood Golf Club on 22ndFebruary – an exclusive event staged for their 40+ clients.

The company specialises in managing golf club accounts and administration, including bank/credit card processes, accounts & payroll, cashflow forecasting, month end and financial reporting.

At the event many topics were discussed including management accounts formatting, dealing with deposits for golf days and functions and how to get the best out of the various technologies employed by the company, including Xero, Datamolino and Approval Max. In addition, clients had the opportunity to discuss additional ways in which Accountancy Matters can help their club manage its finances.

Talking of the initiative, Marcus Lovelock, General Manager at Huntercombe Golf Club, says, “It was an excellent event. In fact, it was the first event I’ve been involved with, or even heard of, dedicated to golf club accounts and bookkeeping. To meet others undertaking the same role was invaluable from both the perspective of sharing best practice, but also networking. It’s reassuring to know others are out there doing the same work, with much of the same day-to-day challenges.”

The company work closely with Intelligent Golf and have developed systems that talk on a real-time basis with the golf club software, allowing for much reduced workflows and greater accuracy. Indeed, they even offer technical support for the Intelligent Golf system.

Paul Mould, Director of Accountancy Matters, comments, “It was great to see so many people attend, and I know that everyone got a lot out of the day, including us. As a company, we always listen to our clients and are tireless in exploring new, innovative ways in which we can support their accounting function. Following feedback from them, we’ll be looking to stage two of these events per year.”
